Almost proud new owner of e46 330d

Hi
Patiently sit and wait to take ownership of my e46 330d. 1 question that Im struggling with currently is what and where do I take extended warranty from on this car?

Welcome to the forum! Could you please clarify what your question is?

An e46 is at least nine years old by now so you cannot get any sort of warranty. Just take good care of the car with plenty of preventative maintenance and regular services and you'll be fine.

It seems the extended warranty from the dealer is a rip off and most other providers dont cover for older than either 5 or 10 years. I will either start a savings pocket for unforeseen events occurred in this regard. Thanks for the welcome.Will post pics over the weekend.

That's a good idea, best to save up for the inevitable maintenance :thumbs: ESPECIALLY if you haven't got a FSH (Full Service History)

Best is to start saving for things you will discover is wrong as you own the car. Certain items that need servicing never get done like breather and fuel filter + pump. That alone is R2k. More regular oil services with a good oil saves your turbo.

If you have an auto you might want to consider doing a gearbox oil change in the not too distant future. That will also make it last a lot longer.
