dont think there is an e30 in SA on air yet

There is 3 i think. Seen one last year with Air.

These kits are just too heavy. Good for a show car or cruiser...

damn so a few e30s out there already

well the air springs are a fair bit lighter than steel so you are removing sprung mass

on my e46 I removed about 2kg at the springs and added 7kg with the compressor and air tank so only 5kg gain in weight have a FRP boot so currently the same weight as stock

also I put the compressor and tank on the left side on the boot in the CD shuttle area to improve weight distribution (battery is on the other side) these are much lower than where the weight of the boot lid was to I gained a better center of gravity also

over all on my install:
less unsprung mass
lower CG
better weight distribution
higher loaded spring rate

over all a big stepup in performance for me and this does not take into account any of the other on performace practical advantages of air

I have seen this and almost went ahead with a kit.

Apparently the ride is smoother and performance is similar if not better than coil overs. It's a very impressive kit.

Only downside was cost. Twice the cost of a decent set of coilovers.

I'd def fit these next. Over a set of DDW or HLS anyday.
