Best case scenario, re-gas.

Worst case scenario. Condenser needs replacing.

I know, the compressor is relatively easy to replace located in the engine bay and one could possibly DIY it. The condenser however is located behind the dash and is a much more labor intensive job I could be wrong here but I think that the condenser is also more expensive than the compressor :coolShake:

I currently am driving around without air-con caused by the faulty condenser, its just to expensive and time consuming to fix right now :blueCry:

The Compressor is relatively easy to replace but I was quoted R23 800.00 for a new compressor by the Agents.

I doubt the Condenser and its labour will amount to that.

Either way I hope OP doesnt have to replace either

Can the compressor be fixed?

Wise getting refurbished units?

The worst case is not the condenser or compressor. It is the evaporator.

It looks like this.

To diagnose this one, you need the assistance of an AC specialist who will put magic smoke into the system to spot leaks.

It costs about three grand. Buying it is only the first part. It is a boat load of work to replace.

You are looking at a ten grand job. Happened to my E46 a few years ago.

Luckily this is not the case here.
