HI All,
I am currently having an issue with my aircon (e60 530d Msport 2009) and with the heat its getting a bit much!
In December it was not working properly in that it was not getting cold at all. I subsequently had it re-gassed and it worked for a day and was back to not getting cold. I went back and had it checked and the equipment could not find a problem so it was gassed again. It worked no problem but once I got home I had a look around and saw a tiny amount of liquid (they put a dye in it to see if there was in fact a leak to be able to spot it, which I believe I did - see photo . It appears to be coming from the nut that goes into a connection point between a main pipe and one that goes down to the compressor. I did not go back due to holiday season etc and only got back to PTA a week ago. Unfortunately we have had serious car issues whilst on holiday, Discovery blew its head gaskets coming back and the e36 I brought back from the south coast managed the trip (folks old car that has run into neglect and not serviced for years) but after parking it up overnight it will not start up, battery is fine but struggles to crank over or just clicks. That aside, does anyone know of a place I can get the aircon sorted at a reasonable price in or around PTA east, or if anyone here is able to help. The place that gassed it would need me to leave the car for a couple of days and at the moment I cant afford to do tat as out of 3 cars the e60 is the only means of transport so I can spare a few hours currently to wait but not much more. Any suggestions?
On the e36, It needs some TLC like control arms, general service, window actuators - any suggestions there - PTA east would be great but there used to be a member on here that was Mr e36 and for the life of me I cant recall hiss name?
Would be best to drop me a email as I am not using the laptop much at the moment - [email protected]
Thanks in advance lads.
