Airbag recall

Hi

I have a 2005 e46 that has not gone in for the airbag recall yet. I want to change the steering wheel to the 3 spoke before i send it in.

Will they have an issue with this?

What airbag is being replaced? If not the steering wheel airbag, then I do not see why it would be an issue.
I could be very wrong through - maybe rather have the airbags done before you change the steering wheel to be on the safe side.

Why do that if you going to change the steering wheel? Then he will still need to get a new airbag for the 3 spoke.

Because it was a recall, so they go by the VIN of your car which will list what airbag it had, 4 spoke steering wheel or 3 spoke.

The airbag will be replaced even if you have the 3 bar steering fitted , they replace what is currently installed on your vehicle
