Air flow meter...

Hi guys just a quick one. Seems my air flow meter is on the blink. I disconnected it and the car is driving perfectly again. Can I do damage to the motor by doing this. Car seems to have more power now as well. I'm guessing it was on its way out a while back...

I had the same problem.

Buy a good cleaner spray. clean it. plug it back in. Clear the code and check if it pops up again.
Seems if there is an error stored it retards the Airflow meter.

Try that first before you go buy one.
