I bought an aftermarket MAF for R700. R300 for reprogramming error. Thus R1000. It lasted 8 months. Needless to say im not a big fan of aftermarket MAF's.

what did you do after? you should also have a siemens maf...

Got a good working second hand one

Ok Guys

Phoned the dealers they gave me a pricing on both items, exactly the same price for the M3 3.2 (E36) an 320d (E46) R6120.00 incl Vat.

Got pricing from Bosch, but my contact is on Leave at the moment, So here is the pricing I got.

M3 3.2 (E36) Bosch Part no : 0280217806 R2250 ex vat
The 320d there were 2 versions bmw Part No 13627787976 and 13627787076 although BMW only sell only the 13627787076 for replacement of both.

The Bosch replacement part for 13627787076 is 0928400529 (Post Facelift) @ R2740 ex Vat, The Pre Facelift part from Bosch is 0928400529 @ R1330 ex Vat.

If BMW now use the more expensive item for both cars, should it not work visa versa and you are able to use the cheaper part ?

Stig46t had a problem with his E39 M5, both MAF's were unplugged. So on Saturday we took the car to my mech friend Jacques, and they said both are FUBAR. :bangdesk:

So after them making ALLOT of calls, they managed to get 1 new one for R3,600, and one second hand one for R2,500.

We went on what Beast Power told Stig46t, about the Golf 4's working, and called my friend Marnevic at Goldwagen in Souter street Pretoria. He had both MAF's for R1,700. All Stephen had to do was take the sensor out the casing, and screw it into the M5 casing, and even the plug was EXACTLY the same.

hey can u get that part no for the golf 4 maf i need one or two my car running on 1 maff

@ Johnsone: Beast-Power suggested the part, and has the part number. He also sms'ed it to Stig46t.

PM both of them, and see whomever gets back to you first. :thumb:

The Bosch part no is 0280218002, you'll also need a security torx driver to remove the sensors (will check the size for you later this morning) and you must just check if your car is a 5 or 6 spline torx.
Think it is a 5 spline in the bosch part.

Like to get an idea on the cost of this MAF sensor: 13621736224

not sure if my MAF sensor needs to be replaced yet, or just cleaned.
