Hi, I'm thinking of buying a 2006 2.0 Diesel X3 with 150 000km on the clock. One owner vehicle, had front smash about 3 years ago but repaired by BMW. What should i look out for? should i stay away because of accident? Any advise appreciated?

from my experiences I'd rather buy a X3 on motorplan.
We have a 2006 3.0D X3 on motorplan and everything gets replaced such as the turbo, when off motorplan this should cost alot.
I dnot know much, this is just what i know :)

Good Luck
X3's are quite nice tho

I was interested in an X5 that had front end damage repaired by BMW and i was told to stay as far away as possible. If the suspension was damaged, it is always a bugger to keep it right again.

I would honestly look around for something that hasn't been involved in a smash and even pay a few pennies more for it.

Just my 2 zim cents worth

This all depends on your budget. My advise is to skip the 2.0d and rather get a 3.0d. Maintenance would be similar but the 3.0d is sooooo much better to drive given the extra weight of the X3 compared to a normal 3 series. Consumption would be very similar too - in fact, on the highway, I would expect the 3.0d to be more frugal, especially if the car is loaded.

Also, avoid a vehicle if it was in an accident. Take your time to find a car - there seems to be lots of old X3s on the market.

Just my R0.02 on this too :thumb:
