Advice on classic cars needed

Hey guys though I am only 19 I would like to buy an old classic car. Im quite experienced since I've been swinging spanners since I can remember. Granddad used to have a shop specialising in all mechanicals and bodywork so I have a 24 Hour helpline at my disposal :=): . So my question is: What car do you guys think would be a good first project car. I have time and patience but not enough to buy a rust bucket without any papers.:thumbdo:

P.S. Anything from Austin to Volkswagen:ty:

i would try get something that is not stolen often...

Thats the problem with the e30. Would love a 325i manual but they get stolen and  people want ridiculous amounts of money for a barely running :argh: heap!

Have a deep hard think about what you want it for.

I am quite partial toward 635s. They are quite cheap and a running example can be enjoyed while you fix it up. They also have the advantage of rising prices (overseas for now) at least so potential to cover your costs when you sell it again.

e28 5s are dirt cheap and good cars. I agree with you on the 325i (my second car) lovely cars. Why not try for an e21?

What is the budget?

what kind of car would you like to have?

im partial to a 'hot rodding' type approach while keeping the car it in its time by doing mods that would have been done in that time period...

a full restore is also cool but i would want to make my car an individual

I would do a restore but add something small on it to make it my own but would add something to match OEM Parts. An E24 manual in Red. :inlove:

I love this colour!!!!!!

Well I found this: http://www.autotrader.co.za/mobile/...mumregistrationyear=&maximumregistrationyear=
