Advice on 135i N54 A/T response compared to E90 325i.

I'm looking to get a 135i N54 A/T model but after feeling how slow my gearbox response up n down on E90 325i 2008 pre LCI I'm sceptical. Anyone who has knowledge on both please let me know if there's a nick different on the 135i. Just gearbox reaction not power.

Not sure about BMW's but I know certain Mercedes Benz AT gearbox have a learn function that can be reset .

Maybe research this?
