Advice needed on E36 issues

Hi guys

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I've got a 325i Convertible 1995, I've got 2 issues with the car currently

1 - loud Fan sound when revving/driving the car
2 - when I slow down the revs drop and pick a few times then idles properly

Any idea what the remedy could be????

Does the car have a viscous fan? If it does, that would explain point 1.

Yes it does, but this loud fan sound is a new thing. My car sounds like a vacuum cleaner. I'm told that it could be moved closer to the fuse box ( apparently its like that on M3's). Not sure if I should let him do it

im not sure about the fan prob but the rev dropping could be your airflow pipe. maybe its cut or dammaged. if it is the pipe replace it. dnt buy if from bmw its too pricey for nothing get it from a spare should be around R15-R20
