Advice needed 2018 X1 20d sDrive

Hi,

So, after much digging and considering various SUVs for my wife, I have settled on a 2018 X1 20d sDrive, with under 30,000km. The car was only listed for sale a day ago and is priced really well (it is a non BMW dealer,  but another major car brand dealer).

I called the sales person yesterday and requested the details of the Motorplan and comments, if any.

I will be seeing the car later this week.

The main attraction for me is the price and the spec level. An F Series X3 would have been first choice, but low milers are like hens teeth. Ideally, I would have preferred an xDrive X1, but these are hard to find at the right price and right mileage. I plan to test drive this sDrive X1 on light gravel roads just to see how it copes. The wheels are standard spec 17s, so hopefully that would help a lot with comfort.

Does anyone have experience with these cars and is there anything that I should look out for when I go to inspect it (besides the usual used car checks)?

Thanks.

I should add that this will replace my AWD V60 Cross Country. The main requirement from the wife being more space and an increased visibility height (the V60 CC has 201mm ground clearance vs the X1's 185mm, but you sit lower in the V60CC due to the lower roof). Bundu bashing exploits would be limited to mild gravel roads. Occasional use on some minor gravel hills (my previous FWD CX5 coped with this and has same 185mm ground clearance as X1).

So, the car looks good and checks clear out.

My only concern is that the last service was in Nov 2019 and there has been no service since.
The (non-BMW) dealer tells me that these cars only need to be serviced every 20,000km or 18 months!
The car has only travelled 10,000km since the last service and that was a 13 months ago.
Is this normal?
Can't recall this on my previous 2017 320d LCI (but, I do travel over 25,000km pa).
When the MP gets transferred to me, will BMW at least do a courtesy oil service?
I can only imagine the poor DPF on this hardly driven car - but that should be fixed with a proper drive.

Yes, it is normal for them to think 20k intervals make sense.. They will not service under MP every 10k (CBS only), if you want that done it is for your own account.. I suppose that is where the black oil services could make sense.

Update.
I test drove the car on some gravel roads around my house and was very disappointed.
Even on 17s, the car does not feel very settled at moderate speed on gravel.
The car felt too light and a bit bouncy (this is not the M-sport model) in that situation. I wonder if this is down to the RFT tyres and/or the platform sharing with the road-based Mini Countryman.
As a comparison, I drove a Vitara Turbo FWD over similar roads previously and it felt more planted - even though it is a lighter and slightly smaller car than the X1 sDrive.

So, I will not be pursuing the X1 and will look out for an X3 (a low miler F series).
