I’m New to the Forum (About 40min or so :) ) I recently purchased a 2005 320d Exclusive with 123k on the clock. But as with any 5 year old car there are a few things I would like to bring back to mint condition and improve wherever possible.

I recently was chatting to a slightly intoxicated chap about my purchase he mentioned that there are a lot of Benefits to Removing the Catalytic Converters.

Is this correct? and if so where would I need to take my baby too to have the procedure done professionally.

Welcome,

Definitely a good idea. CAT's drain power, make your car heavier on fuel as well as eventually causing problems because they get blocked. You can have it done at any reputable aftermarket exhaust fitment centre.

Where are you situated? We should be able to give you the name of somebody in your area that can do it.

i would 1st fix the Swirl Flaps. they are metal bits that fall into your engine sometimes and destroy it...
as far as i know you can get blanks to replace to oem part

im sure someone will know more about how to do this...

Wasn't that fixed on the 2005 model? I was under the impression that the last model with that problem was the 2003?
