Hey guys. Just bought a 2009 e90 335i n54 steptronic. Car is stock. But was thinking of putting a downpipe. Is it worth putting one?

The only disadvantage is your cheek bones aching from the constant kak grin on your face.

Id get a JB4 unit first there are a couple for sale on the forum.
+1. The only disadvantages are the money u pay for it as well as the additional speeding fines u r about to receive.

Had my 335i for almost 2 months now and doing alot of Homework, already spoke to TMSS and DP is about R4800 with foolers if you running no SW, problem with putting JB4 first is, it will route out all the weak spots first like Chargepipes ETC so im holding off on that first when or until i find a buyer for my kidney LOL, besides that i would recommend you enjoy it stock for a while then when you get used to the power and the modding urge become to much of greatness then drop the DP in then chargepipe then JB4.......Just my 2c use it or dont you call bud.

The first thing I did on my 335 was get a carbon clean. This was a day after I picked it up. Looking back I would have went for a Oil catch can second followed by a PCV valve and Sport oil cooler valve. Considering the auto box I would also speak to Gert from OBDWORX about an Alpina Flash. It makes a big difference. Once those are done you can truly enjoy the car at stock power levels.

Downpipe and Software....best mods for your car and most bang for buck. You will definitely enjoy your car even more after that. It will be a monster.

Just did downpipes on mine and not just does it sound great, it also has Abit of extra ooomph!! Well worth it and no footers needed as it runs a background code and can be erased if needed.

Hi KrS24,

Where did you get your carbon clean done and what is the going rate for this maintenance item? My car is currently doing 97k km, so I may be overdue for a carbon clean.

Thanks in advance!:ty:
