Hey guys. How do you adjust the handbrake on a 2003 e46 rix manual. Has it also got drums at the back for the hanbrake or is their another way to do it.

Thanx guy:clap:s

hey sankekur, if I may ask what BMW is that on your profile picture and where could I get the front bumper like on your BMW 330i?

I adjusted mine the other day, just pop the leather surround on the handbrake lever up, and tighten the 2 size 10 nuts a little.

It is a BMW Nazca C12 (it think).

Your best bet to get such a bumper would be an aftermarket one, as the OEM ones are almost impossible to find (bumpers are usually the first thing to die on a crashed car) and they cost something like R8k from the dealers. I am also looking for one as the bumper was repaired (read f:censored:ked-up) by some half-ass R2 panel beater from the looks of it (from before I owned it)

Careful when doing this, as you might damage the handbrake cables.

From what I recall, the e46 has an adjustment on the handbrake lever and the sprocket that you're refering to. Only good thing about the sprocket is you don't actually have to remove the wheel.

But it is unfortunate if you have a 1 series (2005 E87) there is only adjustment on the sprocket. :censored:
