Hi all,

Been on the forum a while now, but only recently acquired my 135i after selling my Audi S3.

Apologies for the lack of decent pictures as I only arrived back on Sunday after picking the car up in CT.

Specs (options taken off the original order sheet):
- 2009 model (N54...obviously)
- 58 000km
- Alpine White
- Manual
- M-Sport package
- Front and rear PDC
- Xenons + headlight washers
- Rain sensor and auto headlight control
- Climate control
- Bluetooth with cellphone prep
- USB/Audio interface
- Bridgestone runflats
- Other standard 135i features

So far plans for the car include:
Performance:
- JB4
- Intake (most likely BMS DCI)
- Modded clutch delay valve
- OEM Short shifter kit
- P3cars gauge
- More to follow once the remainder of the motorplan lapses

Visual
- Black kidney grills
- Wheels in gunmetal or gloss black
- CF rear diffuser
- CF mirror housings
- CF interior trim
- CF rear wing
- Window tint to 35% (currently 50%)
- Angel eye rings to match Xenons (currently investigating best option)

Nice and Congrats!

Did you drive the car from CPT?
How does it compair to the S3?
Yup, drove it back from CT over the course of the weekend. Wasn't keen on driving 1000km in one shot ;)

It's hard to compare to the S3 for a few reasons. Firstly the S was significantly modified and pushing more power than the 135i is currently. The S was also S-tronic rather than manual and obviously had the Quattro advantage. I'd have to say the S felt more a bit boring, but safe/extremely easy to drive and delivered it's power suddenly, whereas the 135i feels a lot more nimble and fun with the power delivery far more linear than the S.

My biggest surprise so far was the quality of the 135i's interior. I had prepped myself for a downgrade judging by the pics I'd seen and the stories about Audi leading the pack as far as interiors go, but they probably do the interior of this car is not bad at all! I'd say a bit better in some areas than the aging 8P A3/S3 interior.

All in all I'm happy with just a few things I want to have looked at by the dealers, incl. the passanger side rear light that seems to have gone wrong (brake and fog lights work, but the 3 lines of LED looking bits are no longer coming on)

The interior looks much better once you have an iDrive and Nav installed. Secondly, F20 series beats the E82 series when it comes to interior.

Must say, I barely of Durban or JHB guys coming down to CPT to purchase a car and driving it back.
Most of the the time it's the otherway around.

I agree with you. Bmw quality is topnotch, except for the sun visors in the 135i. All my previous bmws : e36, e46, e90 all had quality feel sunvisors with a light. The 135i has flimsy plastic things without a light that feels like it came out of a Tata. Otherwise it's the of the best cars ever made.

Love your seats, what colour is that?
