Accelera Tyres - acceptable or not??

One simple test - accelerating hard and going 1st to second gear the Contis gives a much longer squeal than the Falkens - so there's more grip there. Got them at Supaquick for almost half price of all the others.
The car was a bit tail happy with the contis, and is slightly less now with the Falkens. Good enough for me.
How is the wear rate? Ask me in about 3 years.

I have only had good feedback from all my friends and family that I have recommended them to. Don't know what reviews you have been reading, as I can not find bad reviews, but can confidently say that V12's are excellent all round tyres, I have run them on the M5 and could not see a difference between them and the bridgestones.
Even the Falken FK452 do not have as good reviews as the Hankook V12 Evo's. (Falkens are like Contis, not one of them has a great tread life)
I would personally recommend the Hankook V12 Evo, but then the question is are you going to just replace the front or rear tyres, then the big question is what tyre are you going to be running with the Hankook V12's.

I bought my current vehicle with a tyre called Kenda Kaiser KR250 at the rear, I expected the worse, 7 months later and 10 000kms later, they still look ok and grip well.
Recently drove in the rain from Durbs to JHB in heavy rain, was expecting a lack of grip and aqua-planing, suprising the grip at over 120km/h was excellent.
Really surprised me as I had never heard of these tyres.

I decided, what the heck and got a set of Accelera's just to test them. If they don't last, it's allright, I don't smoke or drink!!! I can afford another set in 6 months time.
Next week I will be doing some accelleration tests with the FX 2 accellerometer and see if the 60ft time gets better or worse than the 1,97sec accellerationn test I did recently.
I will post my findings

Can you also do some breaking tests for us? Keen to see if they can stop the car quicker.
I recently went from Conti's all-round on the Fortwo to Bridgestone and it is a whole different car.
Stops quicker, no understeer and very stable in the wet.

Guys, why get a car with ABS and Stability control if you buy cheap tires? Your first safety is your contact patch with the road. I see many poeple put BBK on their cars and run cheap tires. Whats the point. ABS does not stop a car faster than one without, neither does stability control stop a car from spinning. It is there to correct driver error. So buy the best tires that you can possibly afford and push the car's limits, not your ABS'.
Also, read these two reviews. This is the only way to properly test different tires. Most objective test I have seen.

@Calypso I read the threads and there were mixed reviews, more good than bad. Also read of one guy having problems and also still had Contis on the front. (Looks like the V12's need a bit of a run in on the M3's)
One problem I see is the difference in tread pattern of the contis compared to the V12's that are totally directional, your contis react differently to the road surface than the V12's do, and this can cause a problem.
With mixing tyre brands you must never mix radials with steelbelts, a big no no, and you must always try to match tread patterns as far as possible, not adhering to these two simple principals can cause your vehicle to react adversely.
