ABS traction control light

HI guise i am a newbie and would like to ask advice. Dont know is this is the right forum but tried not to make an idiot of myself. So here goes. After countless disappointing experiences and lots of cost i have started to service my 2003 525 Touring myself a year ago. I have however run into a problem that i cannot figure out. The abs traction control light came on and i suspected that it may be related to brake pads. Replaced them together with a new sensor and the light was of. They were worn. I tested the bakes on wet road to see if the ABS would come in and it did not. The right front wheel locked up. Bakes worked very well though. The light came on immediately after the brake lockup and stayed on when the car is switched of and started again.
Can someone give me advice before i start replacing ABS sensors and all sorts of stuff that is not broken?

a faulty wheel speed sensor is probably the problem if both abs and tc lights came on.

i agree with you Don
on my e46 318 i it was the Throttle Posistioning Sensor , best would be to have a diagnostic done.

There is a good chance that it is your ABS/TC module that sits in the engine bay. On the faclift E39 and E38 they are notorious for packing up...

Hey Man

Ya, I have been around...just been quite busy lately. I popped in now and then, just did not post anything...

Good to see that the forum is growing nicely :)
