abs , asc , handbrake ?

as the subject suggests these three lights have started coming on intermitantly over the past week or so , BMW say its to do with the reset of some wheel alignment sensor , others say the battery is not fully charged , and some say wheel sensors dirty. the car drives perfectly normal besides the asc which is off , is there anything i can check before having the car diagnosed?

Interesting, I'd not have thought a wheel sensor could disable some vital functions

it is the same with the TPS it went faulty , my traction control did not work and my aircon was screwing around. crazy stuff

yip, traction control and ABS both work off your wheel rotation speeds. I have also heard of the same lights coming on when the battery/alternator is on its way out.

well, the wheel sensor is vital for the working of those devices, without it, the system cannot sense a skid, meaning that the systems are disabled.

this is happening to my car recently, i was in a minor accident and the guys at forsdicks approved repair centre did the repairs aswell as allignment and they said i need to get the steering wheel sensor resetted by a dealer, thats why those lights are coming on now and then... is this true? ... i have a e46 320i...
