A rather concise M Summary ... I like

The article wrongly refers to the E46 as the last of the straight 6's when in fact the new M will go back to the beloved 6 (as it should be) but will be introducing FI for the first time in an M car...

Also.. is it just me or is that new M3 GTR such a wank... for that price you could get an entry level 2nh hand new M... slap in an ESS charger and change the suspension and do some chasis mods and you'd end up with a car that would destroy the GTR for MUCH less money

If I am not mistaken the X5 and X6 M both have twin tubro V8's and the new M5 will also have the same kind of engine, with a bit more power.

Agreed, the M3 GTS is is a total waste of money, I am all for a charged M3 :)

Once you've experienced the feeling of the combo of the low end 6, the incredible handling of an M and the additional grunt of FI.... aish.. Nirvana

I will NEVER sell Jezzy

Not sure about going back to a 6, however the M5 is going to have the Twin Turbo V8 as found in the X5M and X6M so the M3 will actually be the last of the M cars to go FI. Sad day indeed. NA throttle response will be lost forever.

V8 TWIN TURBO-M5-M6-X6M-X5M
V6 TWIN TURBO-M3 (AROUND 335KW AND A GOOD TORQUE INCREASE THAN CURRENT M3)
V6 TWIN TURBO- 1 SERIES M ( AROUND 245KW AND 450NM WILL BE LIGHTER THAN 135)
THATS THE WORD ON THE STREET

Disagree

Have heard from reliable source that the new M3 is gonna be a straight 6 with single turbo

(Just take a look at what HPF are doing and tell me otherwise - they are squeezing 480 RWHP out of the straight 6 on pump gas)
