A few troubles - Looking for JHB help!

Hey Trusted Fellow Fanatics!

Right! So my 325i is starting to give me some issues. The clutch is on it's way out, so I need to have that replaced. Anyone know where/who can help me out with that, and what sort of money i'm looking at?

Secondly. Occasionally, I have a really weird idling problem. The car will idle at around 700, then spike 1200, then drop to just before the car cuts out and spike up to 1200 again and drop and spike and drop. It's pretty infrequent. It's not when it's cold or hot, just when it feels like it.

Thirdly! My windows, the front passage no longer closes if i open it, the driver window makes a horrible sound when you lower it, and the two rear windows are ever so slow.

And the final issue, coming from having a Cooper S to a 325i without sportpack, i'm finding the steering really loose, and not sharp at all. Perhaps it's just because i was driving a Cooper S, but my mothers 320i with Sportpack has a far more rigid steering and the steering wheel doesn't vibrate violently when you go over a gravel road for example. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance!

ok on the windows issue, front passenger window sounds like a faulty switch.

the noise yoy hear on the drivers window is the rubber seals that expand in the heat and over time gets hard, theres a product to give the rubber some life but cant think of it now.

rear windows sounds like motor issues, so just check that out.

The front passenger seems to be a motor issue to me. Cause it goes down but only goes back up to a certain point then i need to physically assist up.

And with regards to the steering, i've been doing some reading and everything indicates to the bushings being worn. That sound about right to you guys? From what i described? And the cost of replacing those?

Thanks again guys!

PM Gizmo for a quote on the clutch. Shouldn't cost you more than 4 or 5k depending on what entry level brand you choose.

Open up your door pads if you know how and check what the problems might be on the window regulators. someone posted a link recently where you could buy individual parts for the regulator. otherwise it could set you back about R2k from BMW for one.
