The event that was organised last year by BMW Car Club was epic at Monte there were M1, 1M, IS, etc etc

I have not seen a 327is or are guys too scared to rock up with one of these beasts cos the knockers are all over.

I wanted to see an 8 series. :(

I actually saw one on my way out at the engen garage up the road
looked like it was standing inline for the carwash - not sure if it ended up there or not

Was one of the White iS's parked in a row not a 327? But most of the 325iS Evo II is a 327, the 325iS logo on the trunk actually hides the true nature of those beasts

Wow, but the cars that were there, simply awesome, that Alpina, and the E21's and 2002's! :blowheart:

And the 1///M in our club, a rare piece of machinery indeed :clapper:

Huh? We can't be taking about the same show? Are you reffering to the BMW Concours event? They are completely different shows / events, targeting a different type of audience in respective to the cars on display.

Confused...BMW never produced a 327is....it was first a 325i shadowlin with front lip, side stripe, rear colour coded small fin, slight lower suspension with different gear ratios, chrome bumpers that were colour coded and all chrome around windows were black. Then there was the shadowline with m-tech kit (is kit) with 4stud e30 alloys, then the 325is (2.7l) Evo 1 with aluminum bonnet doors and boot (145kw), with no rear headrest and bbs5 stud and finally from June 1991 to June 1992 the 325is Evo2 (OEJ vin) (also no rear head rest with normal body ( heavier) but more power to compensate the added weight with 155kw and 535i air intake system. This also came with lad and full underbody cover that looked like a front splitter. All had sunroof, leather and radio as optional extras. There was never a 327is? Weren't those the ones where ppl just took the "7" from a seven series and stuck it on the boot lid? Am I correct?

Correction, if memory serves me correct the first Shadowline had a slightly higher compression engine which produced 126 Kilowatt. This engine was later standardised on the 325i. The Evo2 325iS also had a shorter diff ratio to compensate for the heavier steel body.

Yes, the EVO I is not badged a 325iS, it is originally badged 325i on the bootlid with the iS bodykit, I will go and look it up, but almost sure that this is the Shadowline.

Now I am also confused, because I did see a brand spanking new BMW E30 327iS in 1992 when it came out, so my guess is that like other options the new owner could have opted to have the 7 in place of the 5 on the bootlid, especially due to the true fact that the last ones are indeed 327iS's and not 325iS's due to the increased engine capacity, courtesy of the surplus engine sub assemblies from the then discontinued E30 325e.

This explains why this E30 was not there on Sunday, the car has "emigrated"
