I collected the oil pump disc and have spent the afternoon bonding with the CSL.
A few interesting things about the car which indicate that the previous owner was particularly carefull with the car.
Fuel filter date was stamped as 2009 which indicates that although not driven the car was maintained.
Every single screw/plug/cover/rubber interference piece was in place on the car.
Not one scratch under the car with all the plastic under tray covers being in perfect condition. ( I suspect that when the car was driven he had a team of people in front of him to iron out the creases on the road)
I have worked on a fair number of cars and this without a doubt is in pristine original condition.
A few burned in oil stains from what I suspect may have been a vanos enquiry by the previous owner.
I suspect that the agents would have fitted a pressure gauge to the oil pump side of the vanos (middle pic) to get a reading on the pressure.
Anyway I cleaned it just because I thought it would look better.
So the unit is on and tomorrow I close it up completely ready for the drags.
