A car you regret selling

My 2006 M3. I was young and dumb and didn’t appreciate that car for what it was.

Probably sold it for way less than they go for Now. I regret not buying one a few years ago for R145k! It was in a great condition.

Hi Herbie

Where did you get the model made and any idea what something like that goes for?

If its Eezee Model customs, I would stay far away. Had a horrible experience and the worst part is the model wasn't even for me, it was meant to be a gift that I planned months ahead for.

Guy took my money, pulled me on a string for months with every excuse in the book. I finally managed to get a refund after posting my experience on social media and threatening legal action.

Was supposed to do quite a few models of my own cars and friends/family members but sadly his horrendous personal and work ethic couldn't match his talk.

Gave my X3 3.0d Fully Specc’d model away cheaply; due to circumstances (moving to smaller place).

Today, wish I kept it.

I can’t remember what I got for it, I remember that the trade in value exceeded my expectations. But that’s not the point, I regret it because it was an unmolested, 40k km, mint M3, where I knew a (meticulous) first and only owner. I traded it because the (at the time) warp like acceleration of the N54 335i which just came out was more appealing to my young dumb self.

Got it from Eezee Model Customs like @KPM3_30 correctly mentioned

I paid R1300 for it including postage in August 2021
I received the model around July of this year after being told its gonna take approximately 4 to 6 months lol

The quality and finish is not what I expected to be honest. The likeness is also not the best, although this can be attributed to the lack of road-car models for the Nissan Primera P11 (99 percent of models are almost always based on touring cars).

All in all they're decent and do some pretty rad custom model builds (especially if you have a really common platform). I just think the guy takes on way way way too many jobs than he can handle and their customer feedback really needs a big upgrade.

I did bring this to their attention when I eventually got the model and was promptly called back and had a lengthy chat with his assistant, Zoë (who is extremely nice btw)

I'd still recommend them but I'd double the waiting period.

My 1981 E24 Alpine White 635CSi
My 1987 333i Diamond Black number 156.
My 2003 E46 M3 Carbon Black.
My 2008 E90 Interlagos Blue M3.

What a legend. To have owned these cars places one in a league of their own.

Thanks Moe. I've been very fortunate, and silly. And I don't seem to learn from my mistakes either.

My regret would be my one and only GTi. I did a downpipe and software and simply loved driving this car.
