Also curious to know - these cars are generally selling for a lot more than they cost to begin with, but why sell a future icon?!

It's fair depending on options. If he has Harmon Kardon sound, SATNAV, PDC and climate control and and and... It's a low ball offer. Those go for around R720-R750. Is it a 2011 or a 2012? That will also make a difference in price. And they are still in demand...:fencelook:

What about when the new one gets released? I would imagine that appart from BMW selling them at a premium the older model will not be as sought after.
