A Buckled RIM

Just picked up my 335i on Saturday. Wife drives it less than a km and hits a pothole. I died alil on the inside when heard the sound of rim hitting the tarmac. 19 Inch M Sport rim was buckled but luckily no tyre damage. Thinking of taking it to Wheel Collision in Edenvale, but not looking forward to going a few days without the 335i.

Any recommendations on mag repairers in Jhb?

Wheel collision are good from my experience. Had it ready in a day as they work 24hr shifts, and offered loaner rim.

I had a similar issue some time back on my E90.

I was quoted about R800 - r600 and anything in between to repair.
They wanted to x ray image the thing, they sand it down, straighten it (or in this case circle it), prime, paint, clear coat.
BMW wanted R1100 for a brand new one and fitted the tyre over the new rim, balanced and aligned.

I went the route of buying a brand new one in the end, because of cost factor.

WCC should actually be able to give you a spare rim. Just ask the guys there. I had three buckled rims on my RS4 a few years ago and those guys at WCC were seriously jacked, at one stage they kept them specially for me
They do stock a lot of second hand rims. They'll just pop your tyre off and stick it on the spare rim and phone you when yours is ready. Can't remember the guy I dealt with there but they were always helpful.
Just ask when you go into the workshop

R1100 for a brand new rim? That's cheap. A new 19" M rim would probably set you back somewhere in the region of R10k I would guess.
