Stealth Dyno day last weekend.

Mods:
JB4 Map2
DCI
DP
CP & BOV
Pump Gas

Yes Yes it is impossible!!! Look closer the dyno spiked after 6500rpm.
Turned a few heads though. Ko4 GTI owners nearly crapped themselves.
Real numbers 250wkw and 550nm.

I set the JB shift light to 6000rpm. Anybody knows if that could have cut the power??? or could it be boost leaks?

On the way back home from DBN and while messing around with a GTI the car went dead and I got a CEL. Switched it off and on & it was gone. But it comes back after WOT after 5500rpm and the car goes limp. Maybe coils?

Sounds like the car exhaust might be blowing. Will take it to power flow 2mrw to have a look at it.

So far I have been happy with the mods. Enjoying every second of it.
I need new rear tyres now:(

I am busy doing research on a single turbo conversion, right now I just want something to replace the twins and leave everything else stock. Maybe just a FMIC and fuel pump. Not looking to make big power. Around 270 to 300wkw.

Anyone with an N54 single turbo on the forum that can advise?

you can make 270-300wkw with stock snails and FBO

Well done on the awesome power... If you looking for 270-300kw then a set of RB turbos will more than cope... The supporting modes for single turbo don't suit your needs... I have made over 300kw at the wheels on stock snails and the car was happy!

Ps. Use your jb to read the codes...

Thanks Kish.

Not really looking at the RB setup. I want a turbo from a local supplier. Looking at a Holset HX35 or GT28r or GT30r. I just need to get rid of the stock Mitsu turbos.

I cleared the error codes. Will do a run tonight and check what pops up.

Kewl... How do you propose to control the turbo on the stock dme if you change over to single turbo? My own opinion is that single turbo isn't a great idea with your power targets in mind..

But good luck and keep us in the loop with anything you learn in your research...

Try some higher octane fuel and dyno her again. I am sure that will boost your numbers closer to the 270 region with the existing mods you have
