80 litres or 90 litres fuel tank on E34?

Hi, can someone please tell me what the E34 instrument cluster fuel guage should look like? Mine reads a maximum value of 90 litres. I've seen elsewhere on the internet that it should read max 80 litres.

Which is it?

I was a scrapyard over the weekend and all of the cars there, 535i, 525, all reads 90litres max.
From the owners' manuals for the two vehicles i read the E32 had a 90 or 102 litre tank and the E34 had a 80 litre tank.
What does yours say?

We had 2 E34's when I was younger. Both had 90l tanks. I remember this because my dad would complain bitterly when filling the car :roflol:

I know the E34 540 has a 90 liter tank.

South African spec E34s had a larger tank than their Euro/American counterparts.

Realoem says the E34 ZA version has a 90litre tank.
