I am surprised that a 2001 model M3 has only 75 000km on the clock, its in nice shape for its age!:bravo:
The only problems I found are 2 missing nuts on the underside of the gearbox rubber mounts, one mount was incorrectly installed. The other was a broken exhaust back box rubber (common problem). There is also a slight whine coming from the diff when off the throttle going downhill too.:fencelook:

Once again..thanks for sorting the car out for me!!!
What could that whine from the diff be?:bangdesk:
Ah well, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
Can't wait to drive it home:joy:
Those exhaust hangers need a redesign, they just way too weak for teh weigh of the exhaust.
I saw a guy once filled the open space with silicone for strength, seems like it worked, and still gave some movement.
Once again, thanks to Gizmo for the outstanding service.
Car drove like a dream on the way home last night.
I've finally found a decent ,reliable ,honest technician to work on my car!!!
