75k service on E46 M3

I am surprised that a 2001 model M3 has only 75 000km on the clock, its in nice shape for its age!:bravo:

The only problems I found are 2 missing nuts on the underside of the gearbox rubber mounts, one mount was incorrectly installed. The other was a broken exhaust back box rubber (common problem). There is also a slight whine coming from the diff when off the throttle going downhill too.:fencelook:

Ah well, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Those exhaust hangers need a redesign, they just way too weak for teh weigh of the exhaust.
I saw a guy once filled the open space with silicone for strength, seems like it worked, and still gave some movement.

Its a weak point on all e46 m3's, I replace them on all M3's I work on. The back box is just too heavy!!:yuck:

Once again, thanks to Gizmo for the outstanding service.
Car drove like a dream on the way home last night.
I've finally found a decent ,reliable ,honest technician to work on my car!!!
