Don't shoot the messenger, I just think it's an awesome challenge.

For those who are interested in cementing the 6A title (Cleo, Mahen etc etc, Raymond Pillay in the E30 M3 has laid down a challenge to all the 4-pipes in KZN. If you are prepared to race at Sport Compact on the 24th, at Tarlton, he will then travel down to Matuba to race the KZN guys on their home turf. He's gatvol of all the stories and wants the title under his belt.

This is his quotes from the Speed and Sound forum:

If u'll really feel that u'll 4 pipes is so fast, I challenge any aspirated Bmw's from Durban for home and away ..Sport Compact at Tarlton Race Way on the 24 July and I will come down the following week to race them in Matuba ..it's about time people compare apples with apples .....

Hi Guys are see no challengers yet, what up, are the 4 pipes too scared or what.
I will go heads up with any four pipe out there.

erm... who is this and why does he seem obsessed with he fact that a M3 might be faster or slower than his car? Why does he care this much???

So just the usual then...

I personally know Raymond, since way back when he bought the car and it was a stock IS, and we used to drive Hatfield flat with it. He is a decent oke. Its not about bigger than yours, its about bragging rights, something all racers that love the sport wants.

Sounds like a decent challenge. I hope some Natal cars come up. He should have specified naturally aspirated cars as Cleo has a M3 with gas that puts down 11.9's. I only see that time improving up here with Tarlton traction.

I think guys out of the drag circles will read this the wrong way. Its a challenge and not a matter of whose is bigger.

He's throwing down a challenge to prove to some random people that his car is faster because his tired of other people stating it's not.

As far as I'm concerned there is no difference between "bigger than yours" and racing purely for "bragging rights". Competing, in legal racing, to become the best is what racing is about. And once you're the best... well... that speaks for self, no bragging required. :thumb:

It's not the actual challenge, it's the reasons behind it.

Number 1 this is legal racing. Number 2 he was the best but was stripped of the title due to a fine print rule. With drag racing track conditions play a major role so this is merely a same day same track challenge where he wants to run at his home track and the competitions home track which is very respectable.

Mahen 4 pipe did 12.3,no red light not after the event its an official time.

Loco, you should start by telling the guys what sparked this, and furthermore there is nothing to cement because we have the "Title Belt"! Mahen's Aspirated E46 M3 has done a 12.3 and is the Record Holder for the 6A class now, the car is currently having Mods done to it to try and get it into the 11s Aspirated, dont think its going to be ready for the event at the end of the month tho...
And we dont think that we are Fast, we have Proved that we are Fast(Certi Prooves it):=):
About the apple part, if you take the Power that Mahen's E46 makes and put it into an E30, that would be apples with apples:roflol:
The time is there to be beaten, so ppl must beat it...While ppl are busy worrying about the 12s, we are working on 11s just for the Apples:idea:

Hi Loco,

So the stuff below is not meant for you...and I also dont have a license gun anyway:=):

Is this a joke or is this guy serious? Where has this guy been all this time since Cleo set the 12.3? Has he been hiding like his shadow times? Does he know that he is actually a challenger and not the title holder? How can he ask KZN to challenge him? ....I am not even going to ask the question about if he can compare apples to apples as that one sent it over the top for all my colleagues that read this """Challenge"" from him. :biglol:

Calling KZN 4pipes out....to come to JHB....he must come here if he wants the title as Cleo has it. (Certificate attached in Cleo's post)....We dont come to him....(however we will when "logistics permit")

Personally I dont think there is any Durbanites here interested in "cementing" 6A... the foundation has been laid already by Cleo with a backed up MSA time of 12.3. That record belongs to KZN...not Raymond Pillay who seems to be off at a tangent here for no reason. Instead of calling people out, just go set the time.

Ideally I wouldn't even bring this topic up again as it is really sad that since Cleo's time of 12.3, there has been absolutely no rivals that could come close to that time.

I think Raymond Pillay should stop getting emotional and say stuff like "if we feel our 4pipes are fast"...We setting 4pipe records over and over again so ranting emotionally is not going to help him. The facts have been stated over and over again. He must go out there an beat the time. Dont set shadow times which only a few people can see, he must set it, back it up and then talk.

This challenge from him is premature and does not even make sense. He has no idea... comparing a bath tub to a 4pipe....however he must bring it....we can try him out rolling from 200 with the 4pipe too.

He mustn't get Gatvol...he must go break the time in the sunlight...where everyone can see him and he must back it up. He is not a titleholder yet...he must try and break it before the end of this month...cos its gona change again soon :biglol:

Durban Stocks are dangerous...bold statements about 4pipe drivers being scared...lol....all i can say is come to KZN...4pipes on the street will make that E30 look slow. He must come with what he got...well send him back with what he gets...then he will be gatvol for life.:roflol:

Challenger don't rule...Titleholders do.

QFT!

If I buy a (insert car here) and mod the crap out of it and start calling out random people, It will come across as I have "small penor syndrome".

Honestly, who gives a fvck if my car is faster than yours. I personally buy a car for the sheer love and enjoyment of what it is (mostly factory).
