30% correction is a little generous.

agreed

30% correction is before and after. The delta is 60kw.

forget the absolute numbers, it could be 1000kw or 100kw. A dyno is a tool to measure before and after. Before with 30% correction it made 205kw. After with 30% correction it made 265kw.

If you guys want to hate, 1st have a coherent argument else it looks silly.

Sherwin... you just wasted that minute of your life. No point. The dyno gurus are headstrong. Pity they cannot see further than their nose. Its like who are you to post genuine before and after figures on the same day, dyno and factors.

Next time you dyno. Make sure you go with a reem of paper. Get printouts of every possible factor you can. Shane might not like you much Therafter.

btw. Great figures. Very impressive with for sw only. You still got the know how with all your old age.

correction factor is used to give you sea level power figures...which are useless as when you are up here in joburg... eish... you not by da sea... you see...

in order to use a 30% correction factor you need to be tuning submarines as that would place you around 1000ft below sea level.

soo...... before you make me out to be a hater... look at the figures uncorrected which is what it actually makes at the wheels here up at the reef...
0% correction...
205wkw before becomes 143.5wkw
265wkw before becomes 185.5wkw

which equates to 50wkw which YES is a good improvement! so hats off to you for your tuning abilities and talent buddy!

but what happens now to the average joe out on the street is he hears that when i tuned a Z4m i only got 218wkw (with 18% correction buuuuut XCEDE did the same car and got 265wkw!!!

thats what its all about bro...

now to get actual sea level power at the wheels...
143.5wkw becomes 169.3wkw
185.5wkw becomes 128.8wkw.

so no bro im not a hater but i would rather try be honest with my customers using more accurate power figures than your approach.

what happens here is that when he goes out and his 265wkw z4 gets given a hiding by a 185wkw z4 he will be wondering what actually happened.:flyfun:

Well thats not gonna happen even if you know about submarines.

That same car made 261kw on the wheels at a Dastek loading dyno with 0 % correction buddy. Zero percent. How you like them apples.

Like I said I couldn't give a flying fuck what the absolute numbers are, we use a dyno so measure the delta. Not for dick swinging. And the delta is pretty decent.

KAR with 30% correction reads the same as rob greens dyno with 0% correction and motoronix dyno with 0% correction. KAR has been constant in Joburg for like 20 years. Don't assume that because It says 30% it reads 30% higher than an uncorrected dyno. Each dyno reads different with different size rollers etc. Kar happens to read about the same as the uncorrected dynos.

My car made 552kw with 0% correction at sea level. So you are saying my car will read 30% higher at KAR? So I will make 730kw on the wheels at KAR with 30% correction? Ok you the man.

Hows about some decency when addressing users?

Yes you know how to tune a car but you are not gods gift to tuning. My two cents worth.

How about not?

My quote was made in reference to an irrelevant argument. I really couldn't give a hoot (there you happy), what the absolute numbers are. The before & after are all that matters. That was the point.
