5th gear (tv series)

So I'm bored and watching some Fifth Gear Season 18 to 20.

It sucks compared to Top Gear:thumbdo:

They try to abuse Top Gear at any opportunity they get and the "old" stig Ben Collins now works for them...

If you're bored its okayish i guess....

watching it on sabc 3 on sundays,only because its the only car program on goverment tv.

but nothing beats top gear

I think they a far better review programme than topgear.

i find topgear to be less credible and only focused on entertainment, with the last season being too scripted.

dont get me wrong, i love it, but I would much rather watch fifth gear for review and topgear for entertainment..

I also love Top Gear but for reasonable and credible car reviews there is no one better than Tiff.

Matthias Melmedie from Motor Magazine "Grip" on German TV is the most amusing testdriver I know.... even better than old Jeremy Clarkson :idea:

Even if you don't understand it... you will know what its about when watching the infamous test of the G-Power Hurricane RR

The segments with Tiff and Jason are usually pretty enjoyable, but the rest of the show is pretty bland, with the odd bit of entertainment every now and then.

I'm starting to prefer the YouTube reviewers over a lot of the TV presenters. The YouTube channels give you so much choice, then again, you don't always have the comfort of just sitting down in-front of the TV and pressing play.

I love how you can see the breaks in the line where he was changing gears :rollsmile:

I've watched a few of the German car channels, and while I understand very little of what they are saying (unless the caption option is available), they do know how to produce and interesting segment.

At least Tiff can hold the race line through a corner unlike Clarkson who only knows sideways action... Can't be too difficult to drift a 500bhp car on an airfield :nonono:
