550i....WOW

today was the first time a got to go in a 550i... my boss bought one a few weeks back... he also bought a 760li at the same time ...:drool:

anyway i we went from dbn to richards bay and back...

all i can say is WOW.... that car is freakin awesome when he puts the car down you practically sink into the leather seats .... feels like the seats are going to swallow you up...lol but its really really comfortable

acceleration is really quick its goes pass 200km/h in no time and it feels like you going 120km/h

one thing that made me laugh though was that he has quite a few expensive cars and one of them is a GTR.... he parks the beemers and the rest of his cars in the garage but leaves the Datsun to park outside the garage.... lmfao

anyway i jumped back into my after the trip and it felt like a was driving a toyota tazz :bawling:

That type of behavior always got my bottom tickled... WHY buy TWO amazing machines AT THE SAME TIME? Do you really have to get rid of your money in such an erratic manner? I'd buy one, enjoy the feeling and everything related to it, and then, when I'm over the honeymoon of the first car, get another one...

Will never fully enjoy a machine I just went and bought.

I prefer to lovingly build them up into something spectacular with my own hands, and paid for with blood sweat and tears.....but that's just me lol

550i will be a great 2nd hand buy in 2 years!!

The 550i is one awesome car plus I think you could get it with a proper manual gearbox, which made it a bit better that the M5 in at least one aspect (if only one )

Edit: Of course I am refering to the e60, if its the F10 I thing it only comes in a 8-spd auto

@ hellas i think he bought both atleast most likely because of tax purposes but on the other hand he is also passionate about cars.
but i must say that 760Li is in a class of its own... BMW has really up'd their game with the new 7's

@dmonic the gtr parks outside under a car cover.... he has all the german and italian cars in the garage

just imagine a 550i after minor mods like software and exhaust and also some major weight reduction
...it will be insane:dropjaw:
i'm sure that car will be able to get close to 10s on a 1/4 mile

I tend to worry about the HPFP problems all these (BMW) turbo'd cars seem to be having. Any thoughts?
