i have held my M5 where the electronics say "nothing further" for 3 minutes at a time. (didnt really time it, but considering the distance travelled at (Y) speed it should have been something in the order of 3 min)
Got home just to find that my brand new Michelin 235/45/17 (Y) = take note!! seperated on the tread on 3 of the 4 tires:cursin:.
The Michelin rep said it was cuts, but i know it is not the case. Unfortunately i cant really state my case.:nono:

Times have changed, remember many years ago 1 hour foot flat in the deserted Karoo in my 733i just eating up the road, what a feeling.

Wouldn't dare try that today......

Only once in my life have I experienced 260kmh and it scared me to bits and never doing it again I'm curious not stupid, you see a sign far in the distance, by the time you realize what it is, it's behind you...... Nah too much for my nerves.

I've spent too much time on wrecked exotics website to misbehave, only do the steel balls test to 120, don't want to be responsible for any mishap to myself or others.

Having a powerfull BMW is why I became essentially a non drinker, sanity prevailed I can drink or I can drive my BMW but not both if I wish to live long and prosper.

Use the power of your BMW with care, for me just knowing I have it is enough, I don't have to show the world maybe one day we can get some Autobahns here.

If you guys ever feel the need to show off in your BMW, show off to yourself on your own, you only have yourself to impress, remember the rest of us are already very impressed you bought a BMW :)

Yep, some scary stuff in that vid!

I saw a signature the other day that puts it into perspective: "Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary… that's what gets you." :mmm:
