hi guys

ive got a e12 518 thats got a 2.0 m10 carb engine... ateast the tags say bmw 518 (2ltr)... im now dik of this motor. i only wanted covert it to fuel injection but then been reading that the compression ratio of these engines are low enough to handle low boost up to 0.6bar boost :crazylaugh: can anybody inform me if this is true. and can anybody advise what the compression ratio of my engine is, i will attach a pic of the type of pistons i have.

.
in my attempt to convert to fuel injection i purchased a redone injection head from a 318i complete with the intake injectors and a gotech mfi x for R3000(i heard this was a good deal)... this head has the 1.8i stamp on it... test fitted it without gasket to find that the piston makes contact with the head/vales(now i need to sell this head). i had the mechanical fuel pump holes on my carb head sealed up(this head has e21 2.0 casted on it) to use this head wit the injection setup and boost. am i on the right part? ive read about fabricating the e30 m10 manifold to a turbo manifold. else if any of the members on this forum situated in gauteng got one i cn take off your hand please do inform me... i have a garret gt25. the long audi a4 intercooler. 380cc injectors. fuel pressure regulator, oil cooler, a 3bar fuel pump and odd and ends from a previous build. with all that i have is it feasible to turbo this m10(low boost) jus to have fun with.. drift/spin and mayb drag sum gti's :rollsmile:lol

any advice is welcome. thank u
