Part 2. OK so we know this car makes 192kw & 417NM with downpipes & stock software. I went to KAR which is notorious for the 30% correction. For the sake of knowledge for my fanatics I physically drove one dyno to the next.
The car in stock form on this dyno made:
191kw & 419NM. Compared to 192kw & 417NM on the uncorrected dyno.
However, this time it made more with the map. Made 296Kw and 655NM. couple of reasons for that:
1. I ran the car on the 1st dyno with the map & then I put the stock map back on the car on the 1st dyno in order to compare to the flash. And then drove to KAR where I flashed the map back. The process of flashing maps clears the adaption & specifically the octane adaption. I had put the eth in the car in the morning and drove maybe 10km before I dyno'd. The process of flashing to stock & then reflashing had cleared the 95RON octane adaptions. So the car had a lot more timing on the 2nd dyno, I saw at least 5-6 deg more timing. I should have done it a different way, but this would not be the case for the stock runs as that wouldn't make a difference on a stock map.
2. KAR's dyno's are a few 100KG heavier than the 1st dyno. And when dyno'ing a modded turbo car in a high gear like 4th it will generate more load running against a heavier roller. Then it will make more power and torque. The stock car doesn't boost enough to benefit from heavier rollers.
But the point is they make the same power stock.
