335i Service Bulletins

I thought I start this thread where we share information on x35 dealer service bulletins etc...

I took my car 2008 335i Coupe for Brake Fluid service on 17 May and the dealer told me there is a callout for

"Checking injectors in fuel injection system and removing, scanning and installing or replacing 3 injectors as required"

1. Part 13 53 7 585 261 Injector X3
2. Part 13 53 7 584 315 Gasket Ring
3. Part 13 53 7 564 751 Decoupling E

The cost was to BMW SA Warranty at R5082.40

The Brake Fluid service was to Motorplan at R306.28

I was also informed last year about the Hpfp and some other recalls and was asked if i wanted these things replaced by the dealer. Oh yes, there was also a software update for something...:dunno:...all these would be done under MP. I declined and insisted that only the normal service be executed. Which was done according to my request. My issue is why would i allow a service or repairs if it is not necessary...? If it is not broke why fix it, the saying goes.
