Hi guys so I parked my car up yesterday only to get up and pop the key in and the car doesn't start, alll lights go on. Car clicks but but doesn't swing. At first I thought it might be the battery gone flat so I set up some jumper cables and one click it started, drove it a lil and come back switched it off and tried to fire it up again and does the exact some thing. Figured the battery might have a dead spot, however it does the same thing with the new battery. So lastly I jumped the car tested the terminal under the boot and gives me 14.4v when running, however it gives me a 12v at the battery at the back.... So somehow the power from the alternator is not getting to the back. Iv tried to remove the battery intelligent sensor, however still the same thing.

Error code I'm getting 2E98 - alternator missing

Anyone have any idea what it could be or give me any help?

It could be that the alternator isn't delivering enough juice for charging up the battery. The guys that sold you the battery should/might be able to test this. Or you could try an auto electrician. Rebuilding an alternator is straight forward - on an E46 at least. Sometimes you can get away with just a new brush/rectifier block. I don't know about your car's alternator, though.

Sounds like a voltage regulator issue on the alternator, replace it or get it rebuilt

This /\ , voltage regulator can actually be considered a maintenance item on these cars.
