335i Drop in filter?

Hey guys

Was considering getting a k&n drop in filter for my 335i. Has anyone tried them before? Would it be worth it?

Not looking for major power increase as I know a proper intake would yield better results.

But would a drop in filter be better than the oem anyway in terms of sound and performance?

Not a fan of the drop in filter. Why not look at the intake System, like AFE, BMS, Injen , etc

Would it be worth it going with those intakes if I'm just running the ppk? Not sure if I'll go the jb route.

maybe a 0.0000001kw increase ... and the possibility of an oil drenched filter ...

Agree on going with a complete intake system .. definitely will get some power out of it and some good whoosh sounds

As you already have ppk, you would have the ppk airbox with an additional opening. A drop in filter be it K&N or BMC works fine. I personally used this system a while ago with no issues or draw-backs.
Its not gonna make a big difference . but as you have the airbox , the filter option is worth it.

That's what I was thinking as the ppk airbox has the bigger opening so should allow more air.

Not looking for drastic gains. Also the drop in is just easier
