335i covers

Hi All,

Took my car, 2008 E90 335i Sedan, to BMW for the transfer of motorplan and the quality check. The friendly lady informed me that everything is alright with the car except for the covers underneath the car, which are torn and need to be replaced.

They gave me a quote and said it is not covered under motorplan, which I understand. Friendly lady advised me to talk to the dealership where I bought the car. Tried them and they insist that the costs should be covered under motorplan and that I should go to BMW again.

Can I get these covers somewhere else or do I have to get them through BMW?

The quote is R3500, which is not bad but I want to see if maybe I can save a bit on this.

Spoke to BMW SA and they say MP only covers mechanical parts, break-downs, engine, gearbox, etc. It does not cover accidental damages to the body of the car.

Best take the car back to the dealer you got it from then buddy. I'd have them replace it if it were me.

Yup, they sold you the car with the damage so they should foot the bill.

+1 on scrapyards. Call around. Make sure to use original BMW body clips and screws as well...i had crap with MP transfer due to a similar issue.
