OEM will always be more because of all the R&D that went into making the part, the reason the aftermarket is cheaper is because all they need to do is replicate it.

Sure and agree, but as times passes surely it should become cheaper as the ROI has been met ?

MMM, not really.
Only when the part becomes obsolete in the manufacturer stock.

OEM parts are manufactured for example by Bosch. If the Bosch OEM part from Goldwagen is R5k and BMW sell it for R10k. What RnD are BMW charging for? I get it if we are talking completely different brands.

Brand commissions Bosch to design a part for the new car, Bosch charges the brand and the brand puts their markup on it.

Bosch charge less because they dont have to put the brand markup on it...

I saw the bidorbuy ad but it seems like it's imported from overseas so I'm not sure how long it will take to get here or about where it comes from and the quality thereof.

The onboard computer is actually indicating the the HFP has failed. Error message reads:

Replace following control unit: High pressure fuel pump.

I was having all of the symptoms indicated at the beginning of this thread:
Misfire, sputtering, especially on cold start. Resulting in engine warning light.

Those symptoms can be plugs/coils/injectors too.

Is the car tuned/modded.
