335 Battery cable recall...WoW

Booked the Beemer to have the brakes and hand brake adjusted today...While the car was in the workshop, the service advisor confirmed that they were doing the battery cable recall and seeing that the car was in the workshop, they were going to go ahead and sort that out and whatever else that needed sorting...

Now heres the thing, I just picked the car up from the dealer and Holly crap....the exhaust note is louder :inlove:, the car feels more responsive and definitely moves more freely...does not seem like the same car I drove this morning...

WTF did they do because I'm loving it..:joy:...seems like someone loaded a mild performance map.....if that's what a big difference 1 battery cable can do then I want another...:roflol:

Does the recall apply to only 335i model cars or all E9x vehicles?

Is MPlan a requirement?

I felt nothing either. Perhaps they changed more on yours...like a broken accelerator sensor:rollsmile:

BMW did my battery cable too and I also felt a difference. I think it could be because the adaptation got reset as well?

Pretty sure that is the explanation.

Cause its a recall, Mplan is not a must! Just call your local bmw and give them your vin, they will tell you whether its needed or not!

Same here...and I have a 320i. Got the car back after taking it in for some aircon pipe causing a weird "whirring" sound on Tuesday, they replaced the cable and front brake discs and pads and the car feels and drives different...better.

Mine had a software reset done at the same time as the cable replacement.

I suspect it cleared some previous faults / and / or reset the adaptation.

I have "some" difference, but nothing to do a shake and dance about :yuck:
