George have you raced Neval's OPC, he said you raced sometime and he pulled car lenghts out of you! I know his car is fast but really?

We did race. He pulled 1 car up to 220 of which most was on the word go and then about half a car up till 250. We only had one run so it wasn't very scientific. My car was fully loaded with about 100kg's of things such as tents, wheels, jacks etc after a track day. That car is very fast though and based on his exits speeds on the day the car was not running very well on the day and mine was running excellent. I also think at the time he was making similar power as me with a far better power to weight ratio. That car is seriously fast and it has a lot of power to still make as his running a relatively small size turbo so if I beat him now it will be easy for him to mod the turbo and pass me again. Remember that no one stays put and people keep modding, with the OPC's potential once the turbo is not stock its not a car I look forward to racing at all. Prior to that race I had declined a race with him so you get the picture.

:excited: Crazy power and torque there George, those are frikken awsome gains. Well Done!! to you and chip logic  I agree that this car in the states would've been doing late to mid 11's with the old hardware already.
Will be eagerly waiting for your 1/4 mile times and 1Km runs trap speeds...gonna kick @ss fer sure.

I think you got shit loads!!!
1km runs are going to be insane but traction on 400m is going to be a big problem!

Yo George, do some 60-130mph passes with that beast! I'm sure you be able to do 7-8sec passes?

I think 8's are realistic but will have to see. I have a advantage with the longer diff that I can do the 60-130 with only one gear change as my fourth reaches 130.
There is no flat stretch anywhere near me so when I go to the track end of the month I am just going to hold it flat a little bit longer. Notice in the second graph how its picked up 50whp at 4000 and 40whp at 4500rpm vs the original graph I posted.

George, you forgot the hair dryer; that's at least another 25kg :)

I appreciate the progress/updates on your car.
Looks like another two RHD snails are going out from RB and then hopefully mine....

It's difficult to say how much Tq is enough. It will all come down to your road test. You may found that the car can deliver plenty more Tq on the dyno and it may not be useful on the Rd. I would say deliver as much Tq as you can on the dyno with race fuel/meth and a race map....just for the record. Then detune it perectly for your Rd & drag use. At the end of the day one wants the car to be strong on the Rd, where it matters most and up the game for the track. Just a thought.

Cant wait to experiment with the new snails myself.

Too much torque is always good. I am starting to get the feeling though that the dyno operator did not do the gearing properly for the car as whats on the curves do not correspond with the peaks the software is showing and neither is the km/h @ the rpm. I am going to retest this week with the file that is now finished and has boost all the way to 7000rpm.
Looking forward to you getting a set. I am sure by the Terry will have gotten the tuning spot on using the US cars for reference.

AS a driver would you be able to handle all this power?:slap: I will be at Zwartkops on the 23rd are you coming?

My M3 turbo made close to double that so shouldn't be a problem handling the power. The brain handles it if you know what I mean.
I am not intending on tracking my car for a while. If I do go for a track day it will be on 1bar boost as its pointless having this power without suspension mods to keep the car down on corners.

This is amazing power! I'm quite amazed that the gearbox can withstand this amount of torture! It is rated for 400Nm, so you are going well above that threshold! Looks like ZF is really doing good work with these new ga6hp boxes!
