330d Vs 435i

330d should be compared to 335i. It won't take down a 135 and Def not a 235 because of weight and power difference. 335i and 435i will struggle with the 330d at first but like u say, once in Rev range the 330d will struggle to keep up. But the 330d is the best compromise as its plenty fast and economical all at the same time.

Buddy my stock 335i n54 beat a F30 330d of the line, he never got ahead.

Good one.

However, having owned both an N54 and N55 135i and now the F30 330d, its not always as clear cut as the run you had.
