So let's assume the vehicle is in near perfect condition, with 167k on the clock, what would be a reasonable price to pay for it?

Trade is R165000 and R189000 retail

So offer them R169000.00 and point them to this thread and see what they say!

No Frikkie,

You cant buy a second hand BMW diesel with such insane high mileage, the turbo is designed to explode at 120,000km and then you are going to spend R230,000 to have the turbo fixed...

(You do notice the large amount of sarcasm I hope)

(Seriously though, nice car, I too think its a tad steep and your going to loose if you trade it in, over him 140k, see what he does, remember for some unkown reason you cannot give a BMW diesel away, let alone sell it)

@ Philip - Thanks man; saved by the Big man again.
@ LZ - to put that into perspective I should buy a couple of turbos first, then get the diesel. Oh yea a couple of auto boxes too.

So I want to keep the 325i and get 320d or 330d later. I will even look at the 120d. (Call me fleet owner )

Yep, I seem to also be inflicted with this disease - just don't have secure parking space for another car right now! :nonono:
