330D exhaust

Hi Gents

So after reconditioning my turbo I decided to have a billet wheel put in and after the recon the car felt great...even a bit faster but a huge drop in power though even though the graph does look much smoother.
The billet wheel is standard size though but I have been told that to get best perfomance out of it is too do my exhaust (still stock exhaust just downpipe).
So here is the question....I'm going straight pipe with no boxes (mid and rear box delete)...is this advisable with 76mm straight pipe or should i go with 63mm. Dp is 76mm so i'm thinking 76mm straight through.
Will it be too loud and how much will it affect performance?

Thanx in advance for any feedback

76mm straight sounds awesome can hear everything the turbo Is doing!

I went 76 - 63mm and also sounds good but I left mid box which I should have taken out... These don't really drone on highway so whichever way you go leave mid and back out and listen to that turbo sing!

This sounds like bs. The exhaust is not that restrictive to make less power than before the hybrid turbo. Must be something else wrong. Possibly with the turbo.

If something is wrong with the turbo then why would the graph be smoother and car went from 14.1 to 14.0? not a big difference i know but surely if somethings wrong the the turbo i wont be able to do 0.1sec quicker.
I heard from different people same story abt straight pipes working better if hybrid....my question is more abt wht size i should go as i've been advised to go 76mm as well but i read a few 330d guys went 63mm also...

That .1 could come down to many other factors. Road surface. Driver influence. Conditions on the day. Tyres. Etc etc etc.

I would expect a hybrid turbo to do better then .1s to be honest.

Was this on the same dyno that it's making less power?

Has the car been retuned after hybrid turbo?

Who is advising exhaust? Tuner or turbo shop?
