330d boost problem

I have a 330d E46 . When driving the car everything is ok, then the Tubro just stops boosting. Then all of a sudden it starts boosting again. who can give advice please??

sounds like the turbo itself.. might be the vnt vanes sticking (carbon'd up) try moving the actuator arm manually.. or it could be a vacuum problem, a leak somewhere, perished vacuum lines or even the vacuum pump.
