Good day guys, just bought myself a 330d e90 ,what a monster, I hear there is a guy in bedfordview that is chipping them at a good price for a limited time only, should I or shouldn't I? Will it start breaking shit on the car? I'm a very chilled driver, if u see me driving faster than 100k's on the highway then I'm on my way to an emergency lol, don't know if that will b the same with he 330d thou cos she just wants to goooooo. I think il be using a lot f he cruise control, I'm from the south so was thinking of the chip in case I come across a daddy's. boy and his m3 birthday present and piss him off 1st and 2 nd then slow down completely lol !

Another thing? How does the warranty work and how much and what does it over? What is the best one to go for and does anyone have on tact info?
Much love, glad to be part of the bmw club

Welcome dude, go post in the intro section and introduce yourself

There is a ton of info on this forum with regards to your car and tuning it... Some of the best tuners in the business advertise on the forum. Get in touch with them and they'll give you the best possible advice.

I wouldn't let some dude working in his garage or something chip your car, thats asking for trouble, best to stick with the reputable companies who have built themselves a good reputation over time!

Are you talking about an aftermarket warranty? Sometimes I wonder to myself if they're actually worth the paper they're written on... Most of the time there will be some clause of sorts to get themselves out of having to pay :fencelook:

Thats my 2c, but like I said go introduce yourself, this is a fantastic forum, do stay, its fun here! :joy:

As Midas said, there are many tuners on this Forum...

Xcede

Promotec
etc...

You mentioned a tuner in Bedford, I live in that area and the only tuner there is Project shift as far as i know.

With modding, remember its a risk you are taking. Your car could have a turbo that on its last strand and once you load a file from any tuner it can go boom. Or, your turbo could be as healthy as ever and you get millions of KM's from it after you tune. Heck, it could go boom when stock.

He owns a beast of a 330d :inlove:

Thanks bud...

Luish - Have a look at this thread - Xcede Tuned 330d

Or, look at my showroom thread. Link is in my signature!

I have had wonderful gains with Xcede Software and X-Flow Performance Downpipe and Exhaust. I will be honest and say out loud, i am biased to them as i have only used them and have received great amounts of satisfaction. Both Sherwin (Xcede) and Alistair (X-Flow) have provided great service, pricing and have always answered my questions and queries with a smile on their face. They are now good friends of mine also.

With that, i leave the decision making to you.

You can also go and have a look at other sponsors here, namely:

Project Shift

Promotec

If you in the Bedfordview area, PM me and i will gladly take you for a drive in my car.

A side note, guys don't hijack the man's thread as its tuning related. Comments only relevant to his question, and no boasting.

howzit bud 2 points i have to make... if you a chilled driver why would you wanna remap a car? the 330d provides 180kw of power thats enough grunt for anyone...

2ndly you willing to chip the car just to prove a point to a rich kid... lol that is funny, you willing to pay +R3000 to prove a point.

anyway your money....

check out the advertisers lots of people can help you achieve that..

Camzo lol clearly you are not a south boy, here every one wants to prove a point. My previous car was an opel 200is and every time I got to a robot my luck would be a kid who still has his mommy wipe his ass pull up with a 135 or m3 and try show off. But I must say I had a e46 m3 pull up and I strapped it to 120ks slowed down due to an off ramp approaching, it's not just about proving a point thou, we men, so if we have the power under our foot it's pretty cool to use it now and then regardless how chilled a driver we are, my 330d is my baby I wash her every day when I get home, I dodge water puddles and if a bird shits on my window I pull over get the cloth and spray from my boot and wipe it lol call me anal! 1st I'd like to down pipe, any suggestions on a good place that's not going to rip me off?
To all that are reading my posts and wonder why I'm all over the place and not where I'm suppose to be, we'll I'm new and still trying to figure his out, it's like Facebook, lol, I don't even know where to introduce myself or upload pics. Give me time il work it out. Awesome to be a bmw owner thou.
Thanks

welcome to the forum

everybody has pretty much covered it regarding the different tuners to speak to,best would be to go and meet up with them and have a chat then make your decision.

now ive owned my 330d since 5th july 2013 and lets just say it is a beast,85% of the time im driving speed limit, the other 15% having a bit of fun,so for me,it isnt worth going and spending R5000 plus on mods and chips, but that is me

any way, what ever you decide, enjoy it,you will always have a grin on your face:rollsmile:

Simple.....
If you don't like the software we shoot into your car, you don't pay a cent!

We dont even want to be compared with our competition....
Try us.... if you don't like our work you are free to go somewhere else and it won't cost you a thing :joy:

whilst you are about it, give a run-down again for the "driving-miss-daisy" types of what the software can do to aid fuel consumption.

I ask as I am worried about tampering on my 230K E39 530d, but I am definitive in the "miss-daisy" category, and would consider a "preservation" software rather than a "performance" upgrade, to add more reliability to my "ole-gal"

and well done on the No-Charge offer if the client isn't happy...thats nice customer service.

Is that your 330d? Neat, I'd like to take mine for dyno and see the out put, I'm still getting used to the auto, I feel it takes a while to respond. I hear the remap helps on consumption? I'm getting 800ks on a tank, I FEEL it can do better, 1200 on a tank sounds lovely

I have called you guys a couple of times Steven was the guy I spoke to, very awesome guy and not in the rush to put the phone down, I got lost with all the info he was giving me, stage 1 , stage 2, stage 3, and and and, i didn't call him once either! I thought I just had to remap, but clearly I was wrong, 1st job dyno, then down pipe. I 1st wana settle my car b4 playing with it, the interest alone I can buy another 330lol.
