328i Individual without Sports Seats

Evening All,

Is there any reason why a 328i Individual wouldnt have sports seats?

everything else on the car suggests its a genuine individual.

- side beading with ///M on it
- front spoiler
- rear splitter
- 150kw engine as per Bmwvin.com

just find it odd there is no sports seats ?

Thoughts ??

Just double checked it also has anthracite roof lining, which really must make it an individual....

150kw? Isnt it 142kw?

apparently the Individuals had 150kw to help drag that extra body kit around, I also just found this out.

You can use a vin decoder to see the options specced from the factory. It might have been specced with normal seats? Stranger things have happened

The locally assembled cars with the vin number starting with "A" have little info on vin decoder! I know it's says Munich, but it was probably a semi-knocked down kit... The vins with W have more info!

Wheels have been tampered with too, as the Individual came with contours, not the M wheels. The front indicators were orange back then. And as you mentioned already, there was no M badge on the kidneys.

The 142kW power output was more of a marketing limit than an engineering limit. It corresponded to a big jump in taxation in the German market. There was always more power in the M52 than just 142kW.

Wasnt late 96 facelift so it should have different kidneys and the smaller type indicators on the fender? Then it would be clears all around. Something seems off.

Car only has front clears. He changed them when he hit a bird on the N7 and it smashed the original.

Rear wheel look to be a narrow one can't see the lip. Should usually be fitted with contours. Car looks clean though....

Those appear to be reps. Shape of the spokes are wrong.
All narrow

Yeh they are reps. He replaced them as he didnt like the calypso's (neither do I) but he is giving me the originals with the car.

Going to try find a set of style 32s :)

Ok, so I got hold of the Selling Dealer (Forsdicks) original build was that standard seats were specced with car. Original owner was apparently in his 70s :) :)
