328i E46 in Mind

Hi All
I am in the process of getting my first BMW 328i
Unfortunately second had as this is the 1999 model but has the stage 1 conversion from Rob green.
This Baby was owned by one family and looks like its in very good condition
any advice around what to look out for will be great

I had a 2000 model 328i. Fantastic car all round.

Pro's: the engine and gearbox can probably do 500 000 km plus.
The ride comfort is very good, especially over long journeys.

Cons: being a 328i it can be very thirsty if you have a heavy foot.

Look out for: have the suspension checked out - control arm bushes etc. Above 250 000km I developed a few minor problems, nothing major tho...

Also have the rear sub frame checked out. There have been cases where it tore.

I had a 1999 e46 328i manual back in 2002.

It's a great car. Not heavy on fuel.

Effortless cruiser.

Really enjoyed mine

check the subframe very common problem if the car has been driven hard...
